Annie Gagnon studied visual arts and then changed to contemporary dance, graduating from the School of Contemporary Dance of Montreal (EDCM) in 2002. Both a performer and choreographer, she has presented her works throughout Quebec, including Si j’étais une de ces femmesTout à TracLotusLa Marche invisible, Étude sur le cœurLes femmes de la Lune RougeReviens vers moi le ventre en premier and Rituel Géométrique. Annie is a rehearsal director and artistic advisor for several choreographers and dance companies: O Vertigo, Estelle Clareton, Alan Lake, Emmanuelle Calvé, Jessica Serli, Destins croisés and PPS Danse. She joined the COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD team in January 2018.

Tuesday / May 21 with Akira Yoshida

Performer in Who is Frau Troffea?  – Ceren Oran

akira yoshida started dancing “breakdance” when he was 13, with his colleagues in an informal way. over the years, he entered competitions. he has won prizes in more than 50 competitions in spain, france and austria. at the age of 22, he entered the theatre scene with the company “quieroteatro”, getting involved in 3 different productions. he also worked with “jordivilasecacia”. at this point he also started to explore how to expand his dancing on his own, in a way closer to contemporary dance. after receiving the main grant for artistic studies from the government of navarre, he entered sead. during this time, he worked with “hungrysharks”, touring central europe. akira left sead for some time to work with roberto oliván, creating the new big production “cuculand souvenir”. he created his solo “home”, with which he toured to important places in spain (such as “gaudi house”), as well as france, greece and italy. right now, he is also working for physical momentum, by francisco córdova. in the last 5 years, he has committed to the world of research, deciding to train, dance and explore every single day of the month except one.

Wednesday/ May 22 with Dante Murillo

Performer in Who is Frau Troffea?  – Ceren Oran

Born in Colombia in 1982. Graduate of the Communication studies department at the JaverianaUniversity (Bogota) with main emphasis on Audiovisual Production. In 2006 started his education at the Anton Bruckner University (Linz), where he finished BA and MA studies in Contemporary Dance, Movement Research and Pedagogy. Currently, he teaches at the same University. He has worked with Wee dance company Oslo (Francesco Scavetta), David Zambrano, Martin Sonderkamp, D.ID Dance Identity, Editta Braun Company, COV Cie. off verticality,  among others. Since 2011 he creates his own dance work influenced by his previous studies and his special interest to explore audiovisual concepts and narratives into contemporary dance.  Lately has been invited as a choreographer to participate of two European Dance Projects, B-Project and Dancing Museums, both in collaboration among UK/ IT/FR/ND/ AT.

Thursday/ May 23 with Daphna Horenczyk

Daphna Horenczyk is a dance artist based in Munich and Vienna. Since 2012 Daphna is choreographing independently for stage and for film. Her work was presented in various venues and festivals in Israel and Europe, such as MASH, Intimadance and Suzanne Dellal Center (IL), No Ballet, PAD Mainz and Schwere Reiter (DE), MAAT (PL), the National Theater of the Faroe Islands and more. In addition, she is performing as a dancer for choreographers such as Anne Juren (FR/AT), Ceren Oran (TR/DE), Andrea Bozic (HG/NL), Ayelet Yekutiel (IL/BE) and Ariel Cohen (IL). 

Time: Monday – Thursday 09:30am – 11:00am

Price: 5,- € per class or 20,-€ for the whole week
