bio:
Ami Shulman is a movement artist who is captivated by the mysteries and power of movement and the human mind. Ami is a rehearsal director, a dramaturg, an educator and certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and has taught throughout Canada, USA and Europe. Ami has been a movement director for dance, theatre, circus arts and film, staging works internationally. She has choreographed for the National Theatre of London, Rehearsal Directed at the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, and she is an Artistic Associate of the Springboard Project. Ami loves to mentor artists at the various stages of their artistic and personal journey.
Class description
Ami Shulman teaches a class that expands the interpretive possibilities of the performer. This somatically inspired approach awakens the imagination, aligning one’s sensory acuity with a deep visceral engagement promoting both high definition in movement while cultivating the artistic expression.
