Bio:
Lukas Malkowski is a CODA(Child of Deaf Adult), Dance Artist, performancemaker, filmmaker and Aquarius based in Berlin. He has choreographed ambient sets, music videos, and films for Sam Slater (Joker OST), LBT, and 7th Plain (Luke Slater). Lukas’s work is shaped by the embodiment of physics, voice, and Sign. He is driven by social dialogue and physics embodiment using sight and touch. He has taught at festivals, companies, and schools across Canada and Europe.
Class description:
flowmentum embodies science physics principles to flow like water & fly like the wind. Harnessing gravity to turn falling into flying, this class aims to build dynamic, reactive movement in and out of the floor, flowmentum is influenced by contemporary dance, yoga, capoeira, acrobatics and break (breakdance) techniques.
Jumping between functional improvisation concepts and choreographed combinations, participants will unlock their own dynamic flow and harness the power of their own momentum!
