CLASS DESCRIPTION

CONTEMPORARY TECHNIQUE CLASS Merryn’s class is designed for contemporary dancers, offering a fresh approach to technique. She explores the use of the classical technique in a contemporary dance approach, incorporating the vertical in an upside-down world. She challenges the dancers’ use of the whole body, awakening awareness of the back body, of the space around their limbs and of the other bodies around them. The class is supported by a varied soundtrack to bring attention to the important marriage between movement and music.
